Linde Crochet Skirt Guard bySimeli
This handmade crochet skirt or coat guard will save your clothes from being caught in the spokes of the rear wheel, as well as adorning your bike with a beautiful work of art.
The skirt guard is made with cotton yarn and glass beads. As every skirt guard is crafted by hand each piece is unique (though the colours will be the same).
The skirt guard is attached using pretty black flower clips that fit to the inside rim of your mudguards/fenders. It has holes cut out for back wheel ring locks as commonly fitted to Dutch 'granny' bikes.
To fit the guard you will need mudguards/fenders with a small edge on the inside, internal gear hubs (not rim brakes) and a wheel size of 28 inch. No tools are required and it's easy to fit.
The clips can withstand all weather conditions and the skirt guard can be handwashed. After a rainy day the crochetwork will dry again like laundry on the line....
They are sold in a pair (one for each side of the wheel).
