SLF1 Sustainable Living Festival

Check out the poster for this year’s Sustainable Living Festival – it has a cycling emu on it!

We reckon a flightless bird has got to get around town somehow and what better way than to do so by bike.

The Sustainable Living Festival have also used bikes this year as part of their guerrilla marketing campaign. They’ve been inspired by the cards we leave on cool bikes we spot ‘HI. I JUST STOPPED TO SAY I THINK YOUR BIKE IS HOT’ and together with used Metcard tickets, have crafted a nifty little way to promote the festival.

Check out some of the HOT bikes they’ve found around Melbourne on their Facebook page.

The festival starts this Saturday 11 February – see you there on your bike!

Last week in the hot summer heat I cycled to the launch of Melbournalia League, the fourth in the series of CBD pop up selling an array of Melbourne design goodness. I did a brief talk about my love for Melbourne, design, shopping and bikes before checking out some of the cycling-related goodies on sale and chatting to like-minded cyclists.
